Flores is one of the poorest islands of Indonesia. Basic needs like clean water, eduction and a healthy life are not always as obvious as they should be.
With help from abroad many projects can be done to help people, in particular children to have a better life.

Children get private lessons in English in Larantuka
Rumah Singgah St. Theresia in Labuan Bajo is a kind of shelter for women and children who became victim of domestic violence, rape of human trafficking. I visited them in October 2023 and I was impressed by their social work and care for these desperate people who are in good hands as long ad needed.
